My bad. I read somewhere where it was supposed to be a year. My point is, two months or two years, Cloud managed on his own for a while, in which time he needed to eat and find shelter.
My logic shows that Tifa had all the kids in the neighborhood that wanted to play with her, and excluded...
Cloud made it to the city on his own. I think the timeline shows that he was on his own for almost a year between Zack's death and meeting Tifa in the train yard. I think it's safe to say that Zack's death upset Cloud and that Cloud believed he was a former x-soldier, and Tifa never called him...
Mind if I put my two cents in over my lunch hour?
Quoted for the truth. How could Cloud have carried his false-persona if someone didn't believe it? I don't think Tifa intentionally tried to hurt him, but you have to admit she didn't exactly instill much confidence in him when Sephiroth...
He can't see her face until he decides to start fighting again. He forgives himself - pretty straight forward, isn't it?
Conveniently forgetting Barrett... AGAIN.
Seriously, you forgot the context AND put feminism back a few decades by implying the only role Tifa can have is mothering...
Short of necromancy, being dead makes having a relationship difficult. Cloud doesn't know where to find Aerith - but that doesn't mean he still doesn't love her.
Speaking of, I've seen nothing here that proves Cloud doesn't love Aerith.
I still think that instead of a book, if they wanted to show that Cloud is absolutely in love with Tifa, maybe they'd have an intimate moment in the hour-long movie.
"Maiden" of the Planet has implies certain things.
Cloud and Aerith have a bond different than he had with any other team...
I would hope that the authors of any work think to respect their audience enough to draw sufficient conclusions without having a coloring book or speller tell them what they should already know.
And, it wasn't revealed to the audience that Aerith's ribbon was given to her by Zack until Crisis...
All I'm saying is that I don't think you need the Coles' Notes to understand the context of a video game.
Go play Sonic the Hedgehog. Run Jump Spin is a plot you'll understand better.
Which is more canon: The Star Wars Films, or a comic book adaptation? Both are official sources, but I shouldn't have to seek out one to understand the other.
How come at the end of the game, he had the so-called girl of his dreams in his arms, and he spoke of Aerith? He could have said...
If you want to debate, debate. If you want to post fanfictionalized ideals, at least be honest about it.
Some of us depend on the actual game to make our decisions, thanks.
I don't see why she'd want to, when she's being stalked across the internet.
Not near as much liberties as this thread has taken from a few throw-away lines that were just translated.
That blog isn't about attacking the arguments, it's about taking things out of context and making people look foolish.
C/T Victory? Maybe you'd all like to get back to posting...
It's rather difficult to answer everyone.
In regards to coming to a woman's aid if she were threatened sexually, you all miss my point. The creators could have chosen to show the scene in any way - they could have done without the innuendo. Tell me why they chose to have it if we're not to...
