Feels like only the blink of an eye since Remake launched, although I blame that on 2020 and 2021 being a bit of a blur due to fairly obvious reasons. Honestly one of the things I'm looking forward to most is being able to actually have conversations in person with my friends about the game...
Was going to skip the SoP but buckled. CBU1 have outdone themselves here by the looks of things. Remake was them asking players to trust in the process and this is the payoff.
Really wasn't expecting any more significant marketing until December but here we are. I'll be genuinely surprised if they don't give Vincent a proper reveal here.
Just realised there were no new PAKs announced alongside all the other merch; perhaps they're holding off until Vincent is formally revealed so they can do Yuffie/Cait/Vincent as the first set of releases. Presuming Cid will get one too, but who else would be in his set?
Is this game a dream? How on earth did they pull this off? No wonder they've been so forthcoming and confident in interviews - they've clearly got something very special and they know it.

Interview with Kitase/Hamaguchi/Nomura. Reiteration by Nomura that all locations from the original game will be included.
Whole bunch of new Kuji lottery prizes. Presumably the two mystery rubber keychains are for Vincent and Cid, which makes it particularly weird that the latter gets a polygon figure while the former doesn't. Unsure if there's anything worth reading from that.
The open areas having a variety of stuff to do aside regular sidequesting is encouraging - 16's zones were very pretty but there wasn't much to really do in them aside pick up shinies and fight enemies. Obviously a single article hardly gives us the full picture, but it definitely inspires...
Quite enjoying it so far, I'm not usually one for gacha but maybe the FF7 skew was all I needed. Wasn't expecting to like the FS stuff but it's actually alright.
