A year later, how do you feel about the ending to Rebirth?

Rufus being hypothetically killed by just Sephiroth wearing Glenn's wouldn't necessarily be enough to prove it was coordinated by Wutai as a whole. Also Rufus is essentially being outed as Sarruff, Sephiroth is just stretching out the process. Sephiroth isn't really spending that much...

A year later, how do you feel about the ending to Rebirth?

As I said, Sephiroth being able to mess with and troll Rufus is an added bonus for him, that isn’t the same as being super personally dedicated to messing with Rufus. Also just killing Rufus wouldn’t necessarily automatically start the war with Wutai, especially since killing President Shinra...

A year later, how do you feel about the ending to Rebirth?

Yeah, it seems pretty evident that similar to AC, it’s not just that Sephiroth wants a large mass of people to be killed, it’s that he wants the conditions of the death to maximize an ongoing climate of negative emotions that he can corrupt into a black lifestream. The fact that the manner...

A year later, how do you feel about the ending to Rebirth?

Sephiroth is maintaining the Glenn persona in Wutai for more than just messing with Rufus’ head and/or to distract him. Sephiroth also just has a vested interest in reigniting the war since he said more people suffering and dying and returning to The Lifestream in that manner benefits his plans.

A year later, how do you feel about the ending to Rebirth?

Sephiroth may be playing a bit with Rufus, but to say Sephiroth is treating him and/or giving him the same amount of importance and focus as Cloud is hyperbole.

Why are JRPGS not doing so well in Japan ?

Console games in general aren't doing as well as they used to in Japan. I don't know if it's just JRPGs.

Final Fantasy IX: The Animated Series?

So that still means someone else is going to end up purchasing the rights to make the animated series? Since it's considered an asset?

Tetsuya Nomura contributed more to FFVII than Hironobu Sakaguchi but people are not ready to admit it.

Perhaps the parts about Aerith's death Nojima was most present for related to discussions and decisions of how, when, and where in the game Aerith's death would take (hence why there is remnant data and dialogue for Aerith existing past the Forgotten Capital up until the meteor summon at the...

Tetsuya Nomura contributed more to FFVII than Hironobu Sakaguchi but people are not ready to admit it.

Well it happened early enough that when they decided to kill off “Aerith” (or rather the proto-Tifaerith character) that’s what caused the Tifaerith character to be split into the Aerith and Tifa we know today. That also seems to be when Aerith and Sephiroth were changed from being half-siblings...

Tetsuya Nomura contributed more to FFVII than Hironobu Sakaguchi but people are not ready to admit it.

Interesting, so Nojima got brought onto the project early enough that the decision to kill off Aerith was still being finalized (since he said he was part of the discussions)?

A year later, how do you feel about the ending to Rebirth?

I am kinda like a mixture of the second and fourth options, though overall I err more positive so I guess the fourth option is the best fit for me.

What is your personal opinion about the current state of the franchise and why?

Regardless of one's opinions on the games themselves, I think it can be stated that the Final Fantasy franchise is in a better place compared to PS3/PS4 times simply due to no longer being in the development hell of Versus XIII/FFXV and the disastrous mess of the original FFXIV 1.0 product and...

1997 V Jump Scan (feat. Zack and Shinra Execs)

He still has one in the remake project too? Or is your comment more about realizing that the earring wasn't an element introduced by the remake project?

Final Fantasy IX: The Animated Series?

Oh that's interesting, the animated series would be a sequel, not a direct adaptation of the original game. I actually think that would safer route to go and arguably have more creative freedom to experiment with.

    FFVII: Ever Crisis Announced

So you're still confident that Ever Crisis won't shut-down its service after finishing its CC, FFVII, TFS stuff? I've seen some people confident that it will shutdown before ever getting to Before Crisis and Dirge of Cerebus content.

Avatar: The Last Airbender & Korra (SPOILERS)

The new Avatar should still have Korra as a past life to draw upon, since she's basically the new Wan/number 1. Also seems kinda dishonest to say that Korra fucked it up, when it's literally Unalaq and Vaatu's fault for destroying the past-lives connection, Korra's responsible for reviving Raava...

    FFVII: Ever Crisis Announced

That was actually just a really weird localization mistake. The original Japanese of Ever Crisis literally still says 2000 years. The trio could still be feasibly born at the very end of 1977 like in the November/December range.

    FFVII: Ever Crisis Announced

But as I said, Rebirth already explicitly uses 1977 has the Jenova verification date. That already indicates that the remake project isn’t going to have Angeal/Genesis/Sephiroth birth years be before 1977. So there isn’t much need to wait for part 3 or go down any rabbit hole.
