I don't think that is a fair comparison because Aerith dress sequence was a whole cut scene where the player got to experience Cloud's reactions. Tifa did not.

Do they mean when she's in the chococart or in Corneo's dungeon because he's anything but casual either time. The first time he's worried until she tells him to chill, then he starts getting worried again and goes through all of the wall market bullshit to get close enough to help her, and in Corneo's basement he's dying of shame and wants not to be seen by her in the dress.


He 'stutters' when she catches him looking because yeah, she looks great in it, it's skimpy and he's human and hetero. Like at no point does anyone here argue that Aerith isn't attractive. Just that Cloud is jonesing for Tifa basically always.

They usually mean both cases.

They are also always bringing up those chapter inboxes that state that Cloud's heart skipped a beat when Aerith catched him sneaking away and during the playground date his heart was throbbing when their shoulders barely touched.

Being a little more serious. Is it just my personal trauma or would everything have been fine if we hadn't questioned people who just wanted to chose Tifa in OG? Like ok in your version it's Aerith, but can I play my game how I want? I just have this feeling at the start Cloti were just normal people who've been gaslighted and just started to counterattack with the years with some of them becoming toxic in return.

I can't for the life of me figure out why CAs would be happy with Aerith's GS date. It is not very flattering for Cloud, tbh, with how it begins.

The whole thing just seems like Aerith trying to convince herself she's ready to move on when she's not. I'm going by the english version but you don't start a date where you've supposedly moved on by invoking the spectre of your supposed ex. That's just bad vibes on any date. "You're not him, and that's ok". Really Aerith? That's one diabolical start to a date if you're the new guy, I must say.

She's setting up a comparison with Zack from the get go. This is not moving on, its desperation. She is very stuck. Kind of like that 30th anniversary monologue.

Because when she does this, Kadaj and his brothers are still around. And Sephiroth has not been summoned yet. So she doesn't need to purify them first to heal Geostigma

She wasn't strong enough at the time, I figure. In Lifestream White she saw that Sephiroth was amassing his own power and it wouldn't be too hard to believe that she too was attempting the same thing. And maybe when Cloud forgave himself and moved forward that gave Aerith strength to finally make her move. When Cloud decided to move forward with forgiveness and try, thats when Aerith started doing stuff more and more.

The letters, feelings towards Zack can easily be done during their initial reunion. I think they'll save the reveal of her death for around the middle of the game. The rest of the stuff can be mixed in before and after that. Again, I imagine they'll spend most of their time together gathering other dead characters to help in the final battle.

How would Aerith know about Zack's disappearance when in Gongaga she was still looking for him. In CC, its implied that she sensed him die. So where would she get the info of the circumstances surrounding his death?

Because she's dead and now have access to the Lifestream. So it's just launching a Netflix show for her.

He told Cloud to save her. But if he's dead and he meets her in the Lifestream.... it means she's dead too... so Cloud couldn't save her... so Sephiroth killed her.... like Marlene told him.

I'm happy with the Aerith date because it's a call back to the OG, and includes her iconic line, which was so notable the devs didn't want to change it, and kept it the way it was because it was a memorable scene (from Ultimania) If CAs liked it in OG, they still like it probably. For me you couldn't ruin it it you tried, no matter what.
Aerith's sincere wish to meet Cloud is a genuine one as its brought up again in the sleeping forest, it was well intentioned.
