So I've been watching Maxamilian Dood's play through of this chapter and it makes me feel better that he died on Hell House and I didn't. And I generally consider myself to be pretty bad at this game all around.

I mean he's great at everything else but yay there's one thing I did okay on. XD

ugh chapter 9 was perfect, I dont think I need to say much because it was literally just... such a joy. This section of the game was completely worth the admission price.

also my headcanon is that Jules is Mukki. Mukki is his last name.

Also... my rage when everyone is so rude to my girl Aerith's appearance. Shes beautiful just the way she is you tasteless mongrels

Aerith is being portrayed so well because she definitely has no problem taking care of herself. But I am really getting into Clouds head, because my mind still oscillates between "MUST PROTECC" and "oh jeez she's so pretty and cool, dont fuck this up you awkward piece of trash." Also, just in general, I am really loving the remakes portrayal of Cloud and Aerith's developing connection. It is getting me actively emotional every scene they have together. It's crazy to think about the fact that it's been over 20 years we've seen this two characters interacting while they are both alive, even with all the sequels and spin offs...

TBH I think Andrea is a possibly toned-down and much more fabulous Mukki. As sad as I am over no Mukki I think Andrea is a good trade off.

Also Madam M has parts of Mukki's role too since she's the one who gives massages.

And as I stated earlier in this thread:

Eh, I am not surprised he got cut, since in interview the developers did say they would want to avoid the “predatory gay man” stereotype in the Remake. Which regardless of how positive of intentions/benefit you give Mukki’s character, he does still fall into that stereotype at least somewhat no matter what.

Yeah, I'm not too mad about Mukki being left out for those reasons. I believe Atlus did something similar for the Royal Edition of Persona 5. Good job on being better, Japanese gaming industry.

Pretty sure any changes to P5R were solely the decision of the localization staff, not Atlus Japan. So I'm personally not yet willing to give Atlus the benefit of the doubt until the changes come from the original work, not just the localization.

But it's certainly better than nothing!

@ForceStealer This was is fuller a poofier with a more elaborate wig. Personal tastes aside I think this one is intended to be the best.

I think Aerith's dresses are the only ones that the game actually considers on a scale from "Good, middle, bad." Tifa's are all decided by a text box choice, and Cloud's are decided by quest line. The reaction Cloud gets is always the same, anyway.

I love how everyone enjoys the game! Though I'm a little sad that you can't influence whether creepy Corneo picks you or one of the others. But the Don is perfect! I always marvel at how perfect they made him!

Also is there any bonus for doing well in the dance thing? Because I didn't even try, I just put the controller down and waited. These mini games are really starting to feel like padding now. I assume I got the worst dress but Corneo still picked me?
Is that scripted now? Because in the original you only got picked if you worked for it with the mini games.

That's referring to the three dresses on all of them. Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa. Each of them have three different dresses. There's a trophy for getting your first three, and one for getting all nine.

Cloud's dress is determined by your Chapter 9 sidequests. Doing well in the dancing minigame gets you earrings and a trophy. But yes, Cloud is always picked.
