Yeah it used to look like the Lexus symbol. It really depends how you look at it. I think it's the equivalence of Cloud's belt being redesigned. This movie is a celebration of the original series. Some changes, some additions, which can be cool. Funny thing is that I hate the Sun & Moon designs...

I don't think it's a reboot, it's a retelling of the first episode. FFVII Remake is a nice comparison I suppose; which they are expanding that part of the story and making it prettier as a film. I personally am looking forward to it and curious what they do with it.
